Recently discovered my Mazda has a slight misfire due to a blown head around cylinder #3. No water mixing with oil but it is overheating after driving 15 to 20 kilometers.
took it to my mechanic and he says it going to be around 2600 to replace the gasket. I Found a number of head gasket sealers at my local auto parts store and a few
others on the internet. I’m not in a position to pay to have the head gasket replace but I also do not want to damage my car. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Well most head gasket sealers are silicate type formulas and can repair vehicles with steel heads and steel blocks fairly well. But some can cause blockage or clogs in
other areas of the coolant system. The only sealer that is actually made for vehicles like yours with aluminum heads is the Titan Head Gasket Sealer. My neighbor used
the Titan sealer on his Land Rover last summer and it fix the head gasket leak.
I heard Bars head gasket sealer works pretty good and I know my local auto parts store always keeps it in stock…
Really shouldn’t use Bars in your mazda. The C-X3 model has aluminum heads and block. Bars is a silicate water glass based sealer and could cause damage
to the aluminum… The Titan Head Gasket Sealer is going to be a better fit. It’s uses a polymer base thats made for aluminum.
I work at a transport company here in Ontario and we have a fleet of large box trucks and semi trucks. The repair house at our facility has used the Titan Sealer
a number of times on the delivery trucks even on the large Freightliner semi trucks. You don’t see them advertising very much but everything I do here about
their sealer is good. I know their sealer isn’t cheap at least for the larger trucks anyway but I guess you get what you pay for.
I’d try Blue Devil first it doesn’t work just flush it out and try something else.
Don’t do that! Blue Devil won’t work on aluminum…. I tried it before with no results!
